Buying
What sizes do you sell?
10 ft, 15 ft, 20 ft and 40 ft containers, in standard and high cube heights. Most of what we keep at the yard is 20 ft and 40 ft. We also have 40 ft high cube reefers (insulated, cooling does not work).
What is a high cube?
A high cube is one foot taller than a standard container: 9 ft 6 in outside instead of 8 ft 6 in. Good for tall shelving, equipment or a workshop.
What's the difference between new and used?
New (one trip) containers have shipped once and look like new. Used containers are in good condition; some are repainted and some keep their original paint. The best way to choose is to come see them.
How much does a container cost?
Used 20 ft containers start around $2,000 and new 20 ft under $3,000. Used 40 ft start around $2,500 and new 40 ft high cubes around $4,500. 10 ft and 15 ft are call for price. Every container on our site shows its price.
Do you offer discounts?
Yes. Veterans, military and first responders (EMT, firefighters, police and more) get $100 off. Mention it when you call or check the box on our questionnaire.
Can I see a container before I buy?
Yes, please do. Walk-ins are welcome at our Hesperia yard during business hours, and appointments are available. Sunday visits are by request.
Delivery
Do you deliver?
Yes. Delivery from our yard is available: ask our team for a price. We can also ship a container straight to you for $7 a mile. Most customers come to the yard to pick out their container.
How far do you deliver?
Up to 400 miles. That covers the High Desert, the Inland Empire and well beyond.
Can I pick it up myself?
Yes, with your own truck and trailer. There is a $75 load fee unless you can get under the container yourself.
How do I get my spot ready?
You need level, firm ground, a clear path in, and straight space for the truck: about 50 ft or more for a 20 ft and about 100 ft for a 40 ft. Watch for low wires and branches over the drop spot.
Do I need a permit?
It depends on where you live. The city or town (for example the City of Hesperia, City of Victorville or Town of Apple Valley) and your HOA set the rules. Check with them before you order; the customer is responsible for permits.
Owning one
Will it get hot or wet inside?
Steel containers get hot in the desert sun and can drip from condensation when nights are cold. Vents help a lot. A reefer container is insulated and stays cooler, but it does not have working cooling.
How do I keep it secure?
A welded lockbox covers your padlock so it cannot be cut easily. We install them for swing doors and roll-up doors for $325.
Can you add doors, windows or power?
Yes. We add roll-up doors, man doors, windows, vents, paint, AC platforms and cages, electrical packages, partitions and more.
Ordering
What if I change my mind after delivery?
If we have to pick the container back up there is a $500 restocking fee. Custom builds have a 40% restocking fee because they are made just for you.
How long does it take?
Coming from Ron It depends on the container and any customizations. Call us and we will give you a date.
